We are delighted to have won the Charity Excellence Award for Digital Innovation for Incognito 2020, which was announced by the Charities Institute Ireland in October.
Pre-Covid, #Incognito20 involved two collections of original artworks which were to be sold in April and September 2020 across two art galleries in Dublin and Cork. In a very challenging time, we were able to quickly move from an in-person event to an online event, adapting all strategic marketing and PR materials online and pushing the boundaries of technology to reach a wider cohort of supporters and donors.
As a team, we were determined that #Incognito20 was one event that Covid wouldn’t cancel. A successful sale would lift the spirits of staff, families, nurses, artists and supporters alike, while raising much-needed funds and turning art into a currency for care.
Although we were in unchartered territory, with the support of our corporate partner William Fry, our Board, our web developer, our team and our Incognito Curator Lucinda Hall; we knew that this digital strategy, if executed well, could shape Incognito for future years. For the Jack & Jill team, this was an exciting and urgent digital innovation born out of necessity.
The exhibition sold out in a day, and collectively, Incognito has seen over 11,800 original pieces of art sold over the five years since its inception, raising over €625,000 for Jack & Jill.
This is Incognito’s third prestigious award in five years, having won previously for creativity, staff engagement and now digital innovation.
Huge thank you to our Curator Lucinda Hall, our thousands of Incognito artists, the public who have invested in Incognito artwork and the media who have celebrated and supported Incognito over the last five years.
Plans for Incognito 2022 are underway and registration is now open for artists who want to take part in this award-winning campaign for Jack & Jill via incognito.ie.
We’re also looking for corporate partners. Next year is our 25th Anniversary, so we are looking to further expand our digital footprint. If you or your company would like to get involved, please contact alie@jackandjill.ie.
