€1 Million raised by artists since Incognito launched in 2016
Almost three thousand original artworks have new owners, as the 2023 Incognito mystery art sale is now closed, raising over €180,118 for the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, equating to over 10,000 of home nursing care hours. This brings the total amount raised by Incognito over the last seven years to over €1M, thanks to the generosity of artists and collectors across Ireland and beyond.
Monies raised will help support Jack and Jill’s in-home nursing care and respite support for over 400 children with severe to profound cognitive delay across the country.
The identity of #Incognito2023 artists has finally been revealed
The BIG REVEAL of ‘who did what’ was published today, Friday April 28 at 12noon on www.incognito.ie, when the Incognito 2023 artists were finally unmasked, and Incognito fans got to know who created each masterpiece!
Carmel Doyle, CEO of the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, said: “These postcard-sized original artworks not only represent serious value for money for the purchasers, but equate to a currency of care for the 405 families we currently support around the country.
Each artwork sold supports 3.5 hours of in-home nursing for children with highly complex and life-limiting conditions. With the completion of our 2023 collection, we have now surpassed the €1M fundraising mark over the seven years of Incognito. This is a real testament to the talent and generosity of the donating artists and the support from the public, which we hugely appreciate.”
Incognito Curator Lucinda Hall has framed the art community’s support since Incognito launched. “Reaching €1M over seven years is a landmark for Incognito. The support and generosity of Incognito artists has been incredible since our first Incognito art sale took place in the Solomon Gallery in 2016. On behalf of Team Incognito, I’d like to thank the artists and collectors who took the time to donate their unique creations, and those who purchased artworks and to those who helped in creating awareness and excitement around the campaign; we are eternally grateful.”
Those successful in the draw will receive their unique and original artworks, signed by the artist, in the coming days. Artists who wish to register their interest in participating in Incognito 2024 can sign up today via https://www.incognito.ie/sign-up-2024/
